1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to grindfi. By accessing or using our Discord bot, web dashboard at grindfi.app, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization (such as a Discord server or company), you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Service.
2. Description of Service
grindfi is a Discord bot and web dashboard that provides:
- Community engagement and gamification tools
- Points economy and leaderboards
- Quest and campaign management
- Twitter/X integration for social rewards
- Telegram bot integration
- AI-powered content evaluation
- Analytics and reporting
- Scam detection and moderation tools
Features available depend on your subscription tier.
3. Account and Access
3.1 Discord Account Required
To use grindfi, you must have a valid Discord account and comply with Discord's Terms of Service. We authenticate users through Discord OAuth.
3.2 Server Administrator Responsibility
Server administrators who add grindfi to their Discord server are responsible for:
- Configuring the bot appropriately for their community
- Ensuring their use complies with these Terms
- Managing access to the grindfi dashboard for their server
- Informing their community members about grindfi's data practices
3.3 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Discord account. We are not liable for any unauthorized access resulting from your failure to protect your credentials.
4. Subscriptions and Payment
4.1 Free Trial
New users may be eligible for a 7-day free trial. Trial terms:
- One trial per Discord server
- Full access to trial-tier features during the trial period
- No payment required to start the trial
- Automatic conversion to paid subscription unless cancelled
4.2 Subscription Plans
We offer multiple subscription tiers (Starter, Growth, Pro, Enterprise) with different features and limits. Current pricing is displayed at grindfi.app/pricing.
4.3 Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service.
4.4 Billing
- Monthly plans: Billed monthly on the same date you subscribed
- Annual plans: Billed annually with a discount
- Automatic renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
- Price changes: We will notify you at least 30 days before any price increase
4.5 Failed Payments
If a payment fails, we will attempt to charge your payment method again. After multiple failed attempts, your subscription may be suspended or downgraded.
5. Acceptable Use
Prohibited Activities
You may NOT use grindfi to:
- Violate any laws or Discord's Terms of Service
- Harass, abuse, or harm others
- Distribute spam, malware, or malicious content
- Manipulate or exploit the points/rewards system fraudulently
- Create fake accounts or bot farms to abuse the service
- Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or compromise our systems
- Resell or redistribute grindfi services without authorization
- Scrape, data mine, or extract data systematically
- Impersonate grindfi staff or other users
- Promote illegal activities, hate speech, or explicit content to minors
5.1 Fair Use
Each subscription tier has usage limits (active members, submissions, quests, etc.). Consistently exceeding these limits may result in:
- Temporary rate limiting
- Request to upgrade to a higher tier
- Account suspension in extreme cases
5.2 API and Automation
Automated access to grindfi (beyond normal bot interactions) requires prior written approval. Unauthorized API abuse will result in immediate termination.
6. Content and Submissions
6.1 User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit through grindfi (quest submissions, tweets, etc.). By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to:
- Store and process the content to provide the Service
- Display the content within your Discord server (e.g., submissions, leaderboards)
6.2 Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for content you submit. We do not pre-screen submissions but may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
6.3 Intellectual Property
grindfi, including its code, design, features, and branding, is our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of grindfi without permission.
7. Service Availability
7.1 No Uptime Guarantee
While we strive for high availability, we do not guarantee that grindfi will be available 100% of the time. The Service may be interrupted for:
- Scheduled maintenance (we try to announce in advance)
- Emergency updates or security patches
- Issues with third-party services (Discord, Stripe, etc.)
- Circumstances beyond our control
7.2 Service Modifications
We may modify, update, or discontinue features at any time. For significant changes affecting paid features, we will provide reasonable notice.
8. Termination
8.1 By You
You may stop using grindfi at any time by:
- Removing the bot from your Discord server
- Cancelling your subscription through the dashboard
- Requesting account deletion by contacting us
8.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your access if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Engage in abusive or fraudulent behavior
- Fail to pay for your subscription
- Upon request by Discord or law enforcement
8.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your access to the Service will be revoked
- Your server's data will be retained for 30 days, then deleted
- No refund will be issued for the current billing period (see Refund Policy)
- Provisions that should survive termination (liability, disputes) will remain in effect
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will meet your specific requirements
- The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- Results obtained from the Service will be accurate
- Any errors will be corrected
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We are not liable for any loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
- We are not liable for actions of third parties (Discord, Stripe, etc.)
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless grindfi and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Content you submit through the Service
12. Dispute Resolution
12.1 Informal Resolution
Before filing any formal dispute, you agree to contact us and attempt to resolve the issue informally for at least 30 days.
12.2 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where grindfi operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
12.3 No Class Actions
You agree to resolve disputes with us individually and waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes:
- We will update the "Last updated" date
- For material changes, we will notify you via email or Discord
- Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
If you disagree with changes, you must stop using the Service before they take effect.
14. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and grindfi.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
- No Waiver: Failure to enforce any right does not waive that right.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights to a successor.
